random, procrastinating musings. . .

In my next life, or perhaps just next career, I wanna be an organic farmer. Man do I love puttering around in my garden and seeing the changes every day. My sister came over last weekend and we were talking about our plants and she said, "You know we're starting to sound just like Aunt Mary Alice?" I laughed - yeah, we're getting older and so domestic but dangit those home grown veggies and fruits are the best.

Fukudomo to you to! Lol - every time I hear the name of that Cubs baseball player I smirk as if it's something dirty. Yes, I'll have a massage and some fukudomo too, thanks.

I need to got to wal-mart now and get a longer water hose or just another one I can daisy chain to reach the end of the yard. It hasn't rained here in 4evar. ack, my water bill is due tomorrow, must get that dropped off.

okay, off to the dreaded wal-mart now so I can some back and listen to my Owls in the conference baseball tournament.

Summer snuck in and is here. I went out Monday to run some errands and the beach was packed! on a weekday! argh, this means this weekend will be a zoo. Must get all shopping done before then or I'll be in tourist hell. I should go to the beach now before the weekend hits. Argh, I have work to get done too. . .stupid deadlines.

Birds!

Little peckers ruined my strawberries! I was so looking forward to some fresh strawberries on my cereal tomorrow morning and today I went out and found that the birds had beat me to them! Interesting how they wait until they're just ripe and then pounce. So tonight I had to build some netting structures to try to shield MY precious berries from the little peckers.

Maybe having a bird feeder and a garden ain't such a good idea?

Keep your bits crossed for me will ya? I'm on the verge of getting some very good news in the next few weeks so let's hope it pans out.
