it never rains in Califronia. . .
Oct. 17th, 2005 08:22 am'cept when I'm traveling through. I just got a smile out of this morning's news giving folks handy tips on "How to drive in the rain." Lol - San, you must be laughing, I am. Helpful things like, 'using your windshield wipers' and now there's a law in California that says if you have your wipers on, you must turn on your headlights! They wrote a law for that? but what about personal freedom?!?
Man, I hate sleeping in hotels. The past few years I've been having a harder time sleeping well when on travel for business. Bonc travel, I seem to have no problems. Hmm, perhaps more alcohol is needed??
The first night here I had one of those "almost asleep" waking dreams where there was a man behind the curtains by the balcony. He calmly walked through my room and started dragging me out into the hall. I was so scared I couldn't talk but I finally woke myself up fully when I heard myself say aloud, "Help Me." and then that phonecall. . .
Last night, I was sound asleep when the lady next door starts talking really loud, thanking security for something. Hotel security plus 1:30 AM plus drunken neighbors = not so good sleep. Why was she thanking security - not sure. But then she and her male companion order up a hamburger and a bottle of Champagne. Mmm, okay, such gourmands. Fortunately, they passed out soon enough b/c these walls are paper thin and you can hear every thing they're saying.
And now I gotta go get ready for another day of learning! I really like this conference cuz Macromedia products have made my life so much easier. And if you think I'm a geek, these folks are "real" geeks but still kewler than say programmers. ;-) Many, smart, talented, creative folks here.
