Sheesh, what a week! I'm still on the South Island in Queenstown for another night but leave for Christchurch in the morning. Next day onto to Picton and finally a few more days in Lower Huttt near Wellington. If I weren't so tired I'd upload some of the hundreds of photos but I'm really, really tired and tomorrow is another early start.

Just for my own purposes, to help sort the past week:
kayaking in Abel Tasman
shopping in Hokitika
kewl rocks in Punakaiki
even kewler Fox glacier
onto Queenstown
Milford Sound
Te Anau
hot bus Australian driver, Skip
really great Thai food
dolphins
rugby Sevens

I go sleep now. . .

I'm taking a trip.

I know you're all shocked but this isn't just any ordinary trip this is a journey. It started out as an invitation from a friend to accompany her on a celebration trip to New Zealand. After coordinating schedules with the other travelers it looks like they will "only" be able to enjoy the splendor that is NZ for a short two week time period in January 2008. Me, being easily influenced, and with my Kiwi friends on their way to visit me in October, started thinking that maybe I'll just stay for a while in NZ. So now I'm dreaming of spending a month way down under and am torn between more touring on the South Island or just general touring or just living some place near Wellington to be near friends and internet access.

A month would be long enough yes? to get it out of my system, that is I could stay a month. . . or more. . .

Lol - i finally got around to watching the Travel channel unreality show called "Stranded with Cash Peters." Bout this guy who gets dropped in various places around the world with no money, credit cards, etc. and he supposed to live off the generosity of 'strangers' or the local yocals. However, I submit to you that having your own camera crew makes folks treat you a bit differently, so I didn't quiet believe the premise.

Well anyways, tonight's first episode was in where else, New Zealand! Queenstown to be exact. Been there, done that, had way over priced bad mexican food. If you ever are in NZ, don't order mexican food - it's a long way from mexico to there. But Queenstown is way kewl and the kiwis will put you up for free if'n you're a good drunk or have interesting stories to tell.

The next spot was a strange little place I recognized immediately as none other than Solvang! You west coast folks should know of it. Sometimes I come across these misplaced photos with danish stuff in em and I realize that was "the day" in Solvang.

Sometimes my past is not far enough away. . .
