new ToDo lists. . .

Woke up in my own bed for first time in months it seems. I still hate my mattress and have that somewhere on the current 2Do lists to replace it. I'm thinking of trying a tempur pedic. I've heard mixed results on those as some absolutely love them and others find them too hot or too "comfortable" (for lack of a better word) as they discovered they didn't move at all during the night and thus work up stiff from being in one position all night. Wish I could sleep on one for a few nights to try it out. oh well.
Now that I'm home and will be home for at least a few weeks I have tons of things to get started on. Basic stuff like going to do a full grocery run for fist time this year! Yip, been since before I left for NZ that I've stocked up as I knew I wasn't going to be here for more than a few days at a time. Next, I'm still fighting with the bathroom colors and trying to decide over a nice but temporary solution or just going ahead and getting exactly what I want. Remodeling funds say go with the temp solution and throw money at it in a few months.
Kitchenware is next: still need some good cookware, a crockpot, rice cooker and counter top compost bin (really just a stainless steel pail to toss scraps into). Long term I'm seriously considering converting the house to gas for cooking and heating. Will need to investigate pros/cons of that more. Definitely need a new water heater soon.
Also trying to decide about adding on just a deck or a deck and enlarging my current bedroom a bit. B/c of building lines I can only add on about 6 feet so I'm not sure it's worth it as I'll eventually be adding a whole new master bedroom up top. My own little owl's nest lair with 360 views of the island. Hey, dream big, right?
But for now time to get cleaning. . . everything is everywhere and I've got re-convert my desk into the workspace it should be instead of the pile of papers it is now. argh, reminds me I need to buy a new desktop machine as new gig will be much easier with one.
