another adult milestone. . .

I bought a new washer and dryer yesterday. And I realized I have never actually owned my own set before. Every place until now had them in place and even though I've bought various w/ds for others I've never had my own. How strange. As usual, I had a general idea of what I wanted and what I wanted to spend but then went somewhat over budget on the washer b/c I wanted a front-loading machine. It's a pretty fancy machine; High Efficiency, all these buttons and settings, auto-senses water pressure and load size, way more than I thought I was gonna get but it was the 'cheapest' er, lowest priced front-loading machine. It also has an auto dispenser for detergent, bleach and fabric softner so I'm pretty happy with that and that it uses so little water and detergent; like barely half a cap of the HE stuff. And it tells me just how long until it finishes and other magical things.

The dryer I went cheap but still has the auto-dry setting/sensor which is about all I really needed. Oh and a big door. Even better is that while I'm waiting for the dryer I can sit outside and fish; pretty kewl eh?

and now I hear something running on my roof! better go investigate . . .

another step up. . .

in our fishing adventures. Tomorrow we hired a guide to take us out in search of the $40k tagged redfish and/or a $20k college scholarship for the boys. We leave at 6AM! yikes, off to bed now.
