yip, procrastinating again.. .
Apr. 1st, 2008 12:04 pmand Happy April Fool's Day to you too!
So I'm finally on a roll with this work project which is good b/c it's due in a few hours. Once I get started I'm okay but getting started is always a chore. This would prolly all go faster if this ten pound cat would stop jumping up on my lap every hour and insisting on much petting and then trying to sleep on my stomach. The price we pay for working at home. I need to get the porch screened in so we can work on the deck.
Speaking of home repair/improvement. . .it's gonna cost $300 to have the water meter moved so I can have a decent driveway poured - ouch. The city, er village, apparently I live in a village and not a real city, but I digress, they put the water meter right smack in the middle of the driveway. What genius did that? Sheesh, and now I have to pay to have it moved before I can proceed with anything else. I'm trying to prioritize upgrades by "quality of life improvement" and having a real driveway is at the top of my list.
I've been watching way too much hgtv and diy and Fine Living as I work at home. But next on my list is windows. They'll give me the biggest bang for the buck and save me money in the long run as I lose waaaay too much heating/cooling through my old windows. And then insulating the living room with eco foam and then a bamboo ceiling. And yeah, way too much Fine Living but if I can get those things done before the heat of the summer I'll be happy.
And now back to work. . .
