Woohoo!!!!!
Jun. 21st, 2008 01:35 pmI just signed a contract to sell my empty lot. I bought it in 04 and was able to more than double my money. Since I ended up buying the house I was renting, I didn't need it anymore so now I can make some improvements here; paved driveway, new water heater, other cosmetic stuff, minor stuff thankfully and then pay off a few final bills.
Phew, what a relief to almost be done with that. I'm also setting aside some "play" money for a few luxuries like a new TV and a drumset and the boat is calling, but I'll have to prioritize my 'wants' with my 'needs.' Sux to be a gronwup sometimes and then other times. . . it's really nice. Okay, must go pay some bills and find some lunch.
Oh in baseball news. . . my oldest nephew tried out for the local Junior College Team coach and the coach was most impressed. The local JC has a really good baseball program, all the junior colleges around here do so it's great experience and most go onto 4 year colleges from there. Anyways, we just found this week that there's a select team that want's Stef to play with them this summer, including some time in Panama! including sponsorship! so we'll see how that works out.
I had all three of the "boys" here last weekend and I must say they still crack me up. 16, 14 and 13 - man, how the time flies. This weekend my brother and the 14 and 13 are here again to fish. We might go to the boat show tomorrow as now the dream is closer than ever. If I do end up with a boat, they might never leave. . . .must get them trained to wash and put up the boat after use.
If only I could find any motivation to get the work out I need, l'd be all good but alas I hate that project and so am finding it really hard to focus on anything.
