and I bought a robot!

I don't check it every day and often forget about it for weeks but and have never even seen anything I can't live without but the other day - Monday? they had a Roomba at a ridiculously low, er, reasonable price so I just had to buy one . . . for my Mom. ;-)

see it even matches her dining room so we'll see how this robot makes out lives better. Mom has tons of carpet and even more traffic in the house so it will be a good test.
In other news - nice how time (and inaction) takes care of some of life's decisions. I let pass some deadlines so I won't be going to Montana next week for this training thing - this is a good thing, less travel. And since Rice is hosting a baseball regional, I'll be doing that instead of Ground school for my pilot's license this weekend. Really want to do that so soon though.
I took on a small side project for the month of June so I will be pretty busy with work stuff but it should be enough dineros to help pay for the end of the year New Zealand trip - yeah! and other work stuff is going really well too so maybe, just maybe in a month or two or 3 I might be able to finally start building my house. Always good to wait until AFTER hurricane season to build anything here but I may do something else rash before then so we'll see. . .
