Sugar Snap Peas! They are wonderful! I had a few start to come out in the mystery part of the garden. I couldn't recall if these were some some sort of snow beans/peas or the advertised snap peas. So I was hesitant at first to just eat them raw like the guy on TV (manic organic) was doing. So instead I washed them and put them in the fridge with the green beans. I figured I could toss em in a stir fry or salad. But omg, these are so good straight outta the fridge I ate all but 3 of them which then got steamed with the green beans for dinner. And those were yummy too! I have a new favorite vege, me thinks.
See for yourself the garden goodness. Today's lunch was a yummy spinach salad with some of the cherry tomatoes and sugar snap peas; all fresh from the garden. And then I tossed in the last carrots and some shrooms (I luv shrooms) and cheese and raspberry cranberry dressing and it was teh yummy. And then dinner ended up being a baked potato which I tossed all sorts of bad stuff like cheese and sour cream on top of but it was complimented by the freshly steamed green beans. Be warned if you ever come visit me (hint, hint, I need visitors) that I will toss Tony Chachere's cajun spice on just about everything I cook. It really is the only spice you need in your spice cabinet.
I've done almost, okay, absolutely no work today and now I'm exhausted b/c I finally managed to ride my bike down to the beach. I really need to ride every morning or evening but I get distracted by the garden and the intarweb. Must plant more sugar snap peas.
