Can this year be over with already?

Short version of a long story. . .Mom came home yesterday, well actually was out shopping when all of a sudden she felt dizzy, blurred vision. . .yes, you know these symptoms but of course she refused to go to the ER b/c of all the things she had to do to get ready for today. Finally convinced her to go and they found a 'bleed' in her brain. yes, burst blood vessel from hypertension and elevated blood pressure. Transferred to the big hospital in Houston in the middle of the night and it was 4AM before she was able to settle in and get any sleep. Not a fun night for me, driving from Galveston to here and then Houston and I got to sleep in the ICU waiting area.

She's doing fine, really well actually and the Drs say she went in just in time; so it's really just a watch and wait situation as she's passed all the neurological tests and there is no weakness or vision problems or really any other symptoms that might indicate problems.

So I'm heading back up there for the evening visiting hours and we'll go from there. . .
