Just did the trial run of the iRobot vacuum thingy. It seems to have a built-in cat detector as it somehow managed to chase the cat in several directions before the freaked out kitty retreated to a higher perch to watch over this new mechanical animal. It was quite amusing. I keep wanting to call the little thing, tivo. I have no idea why. Guess we need a name the robot contest. So far, so good. It did my Mom's huge dining/entry area and started on the living room before retreating to its base to recharge. I was trying to keep it trapped in the one room but it found its way over here so I let it go ahead and get started. Guess I should check how full the dirt bin is and empty it. Ooh and when it recharges then I can play with driving it around with the remote. My nephew can't wait to try that. This is good, tricking kids to clean stuff is always good.
In other news. . . Woohoo! Rice won last night in the bottom of the 10th inning in grand fashion. Today's game is at 5 PM which means I'll miss the UW meeting - ugh. And I felt like total carp last night with this stupid sinus infection stuff. My poor nephew Dylan is also sick with a headache and cough but we both toughed it out through a really hot evening and somehow we both felt a hundred times better as soon as Rice pulled out the dramatic come-from-behind win. I hate only being able to breathe through one nostril at a time.
Okay, tons of work to make up today before we can leave for the game so I better get to it. Good health to all!
