In easy to understand english: the things and computers that keep the station in place are not working. They've been a continual problem but now the russian puters have "malfunctioned" and they're using the shuttle to keep both vehicles in a proper orbit. I'm pretty confident they'll get it all worked out; lots of folks working this one but it's mostly up to Russia to get their controlling computers working again.
ya know, this would be a great story if only they would tell it properly. . . I never understood the need to constantly sugarcoat things and not tell the public how much effort goes into the whole mission, much less solving problems like this one.
