Why Mario and Luigi are superheroes. . .

If you've ever played Nintendo games you might wonder why they choose to make Mario & Luigi plumbers. It's b/c plumbers can come save your home from drowning in sewage when no one else can or wants to. So finally, my superheroes showed up to fix my plumbing! So now we have cold water and a flushable toilet! woohoo - it really is the small things. But alas, no hot water until Monday when the superheroes return to hook up the mammoth water heater I bought. yes, I totally over bought a huge 54 gallon unit when before I had a 30 gallon that was on its last legs but there's a reason to the madness.
I really, really want a tankless water heater but those require natural gas and the gas company is still inundated trying to restore service to folks from the storm so it would be months before new service orders are being taken. That and more plumbing costs for me. Well anyways, maybe by spring I can get that work done and then I will gift this water heater to whichever family member is closest to having their home rebuilt. Plus, I'm really looking forward to finally being able to fill up my entire bathtub rather than just 3 -4 inches with the old unit.
Plumber also said I "did a really good job" with my temporary fix last weekend on the stack. ;-) If'n I had big muscles like my plumber pretty sure I could figure out the rest of the work but alas my weka arms are not good at tightening pipes and moving large objects. Tomorrow we tackle some flooring issues and test out the ceiling plank install method. and holy carpet bats! only one week until London - ain't that always the way things work out.
