comcastic my foot. . .
Jul. 20th, 2007 08:23 pmHave you seen the new ads for "Comcastic?" Comcastic apparently means 'really crappy customer service and you internet now screwed.' Geez, what a pain. The service has been really bad since it was installed, then the big "switchover" from TimeWarner happened and then everything was really screwed and customer service said as much. Now, the net been's dead since yesterday, finally got a tech out this afternoon and it's still dead; constantly dropping out - argh! I'm over at my sister's now moving some files from the old machine and using this net.
I thought Mercury was no longer retrograde? Cuz there have been all sorts of hades happening with our technology this week. My coworkers laptop died an awful overheating death, my net has been screwed, routers are freaking out and my brand new shiny MacBookPro failed to boot up after hibernating this afternoon - not a good sign. I think I will be buying the extended warranty on this one.
ooooh but I got some new toys yesterday - the 15" MacBook Pro, 30gb video ipod b/c it's only $49 after rebate and Parallels software and will be ordering a new printer from apple, also free after rebate - so yeah, lots of new shiny things to be playing with. . . if only the internet was working I could actually be getting some work done!
okay, files done, must go finish work and start seriously thinking about packing b/c I leave tomorrow night and this week has just been heck and all I wanna do is crawl in bed and sleep for two days.
