dindaStrange weather but welcome rain - it's been way hot here and the flowers were thirsty. Much work to do today so I better get to it while I'm feeling good. No headache for the first time in a week! (knocks on wood).
Does anyone have any recommendations on a good financial planning book? I saw about 10 minutes of Suzie Orman doing a PBS drive thing the other night and some of her stuff looked good if over-hyped. My financial planner went to a different company so I need to look into doing more with my money other than immediately spending it when i see there is 'extra' in the checking account. I'm really good at hiding money from myself; like if I transfer it to savings or elsewhere it's pretty much 'gone' until I remember it. But having too much in a non-interest bearing checking account makes no sense and is dangerous b/c I want to spend it and have no self-control when it comes to say buying toys or computer stuff. Already got taxes and retirement stuff setup so it's just a matter of putting temporary excess stuff into the proper places until I need it for say house stuff and vacations and christmas and computers and other large toy purchases.
Okay, must work now, so I can take the afternoon off to watch the Owls play in the College World Series. woohoo! or is it Woohoot! GO OWLS!!!
